The
Deep Sea Seal is a propeller shaft sealing system
as an alternative to a stuffing box and comprises of
two components. A stationary SEAT that fits onto the
inner end or the stern tube and the rotating SEAL that
attaches to the propeller shaft. The rotating seal runs
against the stationary seat to give a watertight "drip
free" seal. Both are moulded from tough, oil resistant
chloroprene.
The set number
you require will be determined by the Shaft size, the
diameter of the Stern tube and the speed of the propeller
shaft, as indicated in the table below.

The total length includes
the length taken up by the tube on the stationary SEAT

All assemblies need to be water fed.
The Deep Sea Seal does not have a support bearing, therefore
care should be taken that long shafts are correctly
supported.
